Target Donates to The Cancer Center

During The Cancer Center’s first anniversary celebration, special guests dropped by with a generous gift. Jessica Linn and Brian Wedoff, from the local Target Distribution Center, on behalf of the Target Foundation, donated $3,000 to The Cancer Center, which will benefit patient care and support programs. Linn said, “Thanks for the opportunity to partner on this year’s grant from the Target Foundation. We wanted to make an impact in the community that we serve and where many of our team members live. We coordinated this grant to coincide with the Distribution Center’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October. We had Pink Fridays in October, passed out pink ribbons to all of our team members, and created a Tree of Remembrance in our lobby. Another major reason for choosing this location [The Cancer Center] for the grant is because we lost a team Member to cancer earlier this year.” Linn added, “It was great tour your facility and observe how you treat the patients and encourage life over illness. We know the funds will go a long way in helping the victims and the families of those impacted by cancer.”
