DeKalb Elks Lodge #765 Softball Team Donates to The Cancer Center at Kishwaukee Community Hospital

Recently the DeKalb Elks #765 Softball Team donated $2,154.66 to The Cancer Center at Kishwaukee Community Hospital. The money was raised by raffling off two softball bats.
The DeKalb Elks softball team would like to congratulate Troy Johnson, Aurora and Jason Kies, Aurora for winning the bats. A big thanks to Troy, Jason and all the others who purchased raffle tickets for supporting the Elks Softball Team in their efforts to raise money for The Cancer Center. They would also like to thank Corky of Miken sporting goods company for helping with the purchase of the softball bats.
Desiring to keep the donation local, the team chose to donate to The Cancer Center since several of the team members have family members who are survivors of cancer, are currently battling cancer, or have died of cancer. The team asked that the money go to The Cancer Center at Kishwaukee Community Hospital to be used for the greatest need to help cancer patients and their families.
This is the second year the DeKalb Elks #765 Softball Team has made a donation to The Cancer Center. Their gifts now total $2,564.66.
