KishHealth System utilizes the latest technology in diagnosing and treating cancer and blood disorders with the use of both medical oncology/hematology and radiation oncology services. Comprehensive care is offered through several entities of KishHealth System, which include the Kishwaukee Cancer Care Center, Illinois Regional Cancer Center, Valley West Community Hospital, Kishwaukee Community Hospital, and Unlimited Performance Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine.

These entities work together to provide comprehensive cancer and blood disorder treatment and therapy, educate and work toward cancer prevention, and to offer support and resources to individuals or families touched by cancer.

Kishwaukee Cancer Care Center, along with two board certified oncologists, one of whom is a hematologist, provides medical oncology services including chemotherapy, immunotherapy and biological response modifier therapy; access to clinical trials, a resource library; nutrition services, and genetic testing.

Illinois Regional Cancer Center, with a board certified oncologist, offers radiation oncology including Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT) and ACCULOC Image Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT) as well as traditional therapies.

Valley West Community Hospital and its medical staff provide state-of-the-art technology with MRI, CT, and digital mammography, stereotactic breast biopsy, colonoscopy, bronchoscopy, and on-site pathology.

Kishwaukee Community Hospital and its medical staff offer the most current diagnostic imaging technology available including PET/CT, interventional radiology, cancer screening services, rehabilitation services, massage therapy, pain management, nutrition services, counseling services, support groups, educational and prevention programs.

Kishwaukee Community Hospital has earned a Certificate of Approval with Commendation as a Comprehensive Community Cancer Center through the American College of Surgeons for providing high-quality, patient-centered cancer care. This recognition is earned by only one in four hospitals that treat cancer. Kish Hospital offers a broad spectrum of services and state-of-the-art equipment; participates in research and clinical trials; collects data on type and stage of cancers and treatments; and offers ongoing patient follow-up and monitoring.

Ishaqe Memon, MD, has been appointed to the Commission on Cancer as Kishwaukee Community Hospital’s Cancer Liaison Physician.
